Revamping Your Home for the Holidays

Traditionally, Christmas is that time of the year when we get to spend a little extra time at home, with our loved ones. But this year, things have been a bit different, with most of us spending more time at home than we would have ever intended or even imagined just one year ago. So it stands to reason you might want to spruce up the old home in time for the holidays. And with these five decor tips, we can help you do just that!

1. Light a candle

Christmas is all about that light, both internal and external, so if you’re looking to make this holiday season a little different, you could light an aromatic candle. These can be soothing or energizing, depending on the chosen fragrance. Or if you want your candle to also serve a decorative purpose, you can try one of our art-themed candles. But one thing is true, no matter the size or shape of your holiday candle, it will bring on a nice scent and make your home glow this Christmas!

Tip: Make sure to match the candle size and quantity to the size of the room. For example, the fragrance of a single small candle might be lost in a large room, while a big candle may be overpowering inside a small room!

2. Put up some artwork

There really is nothing like a quality art print to add new life to your walls. Whether you’re choosing some nice shot of the ocean at nighttime, or a classic movie poster from La Dolce Vita, you need to make sure you opt for a print that represents you. At the same time, you want to get something that matches the decor of the room. For example, if your living room is done in bright, orange undertones, you’re not going to go with a green print that will fundamentally clash with those orange hues.

3. Bring a dash of color with ceramics

Sculptural art pieces will never truly go out of style, will they? There is something wonderfully understated about a carefully painted ceramic bowl, and what makes matters even better, you can use it for a wide range of purposes. You might use it to store something or keep it empty, purely for decorative purposes. You could also opt something more artistic like a bright, colorful ceramic vase or a sleek, grey palladium arc.

4. Revamp an old couch or bed with a unique new throw.

There’s something catchy about throw blankets that gives them a timeless and universal appeal. So if you want to do something new with your home, but aren’t really looking to invest in expensive furniture, you might consider for a sleek, new lambswool throw blanket that will add a new layer of elegance to your old, tattered armchair!

5. Diffuse the atmosphere!

Earlier, we talked a bit about the benefits of scented candles. Well, if lighting a candle isn’t necessarily your thing, don’t worry. You can enjoy all the nice-smelling benefits of a scented candle without the flame with one of our special diffusers, that work with a wide range of different fragrance oils! What’s better, you don’t have to worry about forgetting to blow out a diffuser!
